The 2018 Fiji clinical professional nursing overseas training course, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by Hunan Children's Hospital, launches its opening ceremony on December 3rd in the Colonial War Memorial hospital in Suva, the capital of Fiji. More than 70 people, including representatives from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Fiji, the Ministry of Health Service, hospitals of both sides and local participants, attended the ceremony.
Cheng Xianghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan Children's Hospital, who is in charge of the project implementation, introduces that the 20-day overseas training course offers 50 participants a combination of training, including theoretical knowledge, clinical professional nursing skills and clinical guidance. The lectures cover China's culture, nursing quality management, respiratory tract management of critically ill children, pneumonia care, fever and febrile convulsions care, developmental care for premature infants, diarrhea and dehydration, PICC catheterization, emergency and outpatient triage management, etc. Skills training involves basic life support such as neonatal and children's asphyxia resuscitation,and intravenous infusion.
