On April 1^st, Hunan Children’s Hospital appointed Professor Chung Wo Chow, senior consultant of Pathology Department of Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne, as visiting professor. President Tan Lihong presented the Letter of Appointment to Professor Chow on behalf of the Hospital, expressing gratitude for his devotion to the hospital’s specialty development and talents building.

Professor Chow stated that it was an honor to be appointed as visiting professor, and that he looks forward to conducting more profound exchange and cooperation in relevant research fields with our hospital.

Professor Chung Wo Chow is the world famous expert in pediatric pathology. Starting from March, 2016, he has paid several visits to our hospital to offer the Pathology Department helpful and instructive guidance in the professional development and specialty building. During his visit this time, Professor Chow went to the Department of Neurosurgery,Department of General Surgery and Department of Gastroenterology, while delivering a series of lectures and clinic discussions with the Hospital’s medical staff.

Founded in April, 2017, the Pathology Department has made much progress in professional technology, clinical service and scientific research. With the assistance of Professor Chow, it is hoped that more new technologies could be applied to facilitate the development of Hospital’s clinical service.
